Bayleigh Lundberg
Bayleigh Lundberg is a bright and brave fifth grader at Meadow Brook whose world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed this summer with Stage 3 Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma. At just ten years old, Bayleigh has faced more hospital stays and chemotherapy rounds than most could imagine, yet she continues to smile through every challenge. After she and her siblings were placed in the care of their loving grandparents, life brought even more hardship when her grandmother had to quit her job to stay by Bayleigh’s side during treatment.
The family now faces mounting financial strain while caring for multiple children with special needs. Though she hasn’t been able to start her school year in person, Bayleigh’s courage and positivity continue to inspire everyone around her. Supporting Bayleigh through BEAST Week would help ease her family’s burden and remind us all that even the smallest hearts can carry the greatest strength.

Rachel Ashlock

Rachel Ashlock, a beloved special education paraprofessional at Valley Elementary, has spent over a decade serving Mustang’s students with patience, kindness, and heart. For the past two years, she has been courageously battling a rare and aggressive cancer called Mucosal Melanoma. Despite enduring countless treatments, surgeries, and setbacks, Rachel continues to show up for her students every day with a smile and an unwavering spirit.
After months of struggling with insurance, she has finally been approved to begin treatment at MD Anderson in Houston this October — a hopeful but expensive journey for her and her husband. Even as her cancer spread and her body grew tired, Rachel never stopped giving her best to others. She is the quiet definition of strength, faith, and love, and helping Rachel through BEAST Week would allow our community to give back to someone who has spent her life giving to everyone else.
Ryder Vannoy
Ryder Vannoy is a 15-year-old Mustang High School student and golf team member whose life changed forever on July 8, 2025, when he was hit by a truck while riding his motorcycle. The accident left him with a traumatic brain injury, countless broken bones, and injuries so severe doctors weren’t sure he would survive the night. After seven surgeries and forty-seven days in the hospital, Ryder—through faith, determination, and the unwavering support of his family and community—defied every odd. Once in a coma and unable to walk or speak, he is now back in school part-time, walking on his own, and continuing therapy with an unbreakable spirit.
Ryder and his family now face overwhelming medical bills exceeding a million dollars, but their faith remains unshaken. Supporting Ryder through BEAST Week would not only lift the burden of financial stress but also honor a young man whose strength and resilience have inspired an entire community to believe in miracles.
